Watchet Harbour Goods

The layout is built to Gauge 1 i.e. 10mm to 1ft. (approx 1/32nd scale)

This is my view of the station at Watchet for the West Somerset Mineral Railway.

Iron ore was mined in the Brendon Hills and shipped down to Watchet, on the Bristol Channel, by rail to be transferred by ship to Newport in Wales.

The iron ore was of low grade and mining ceased in about 1920.

I have set the layout to be in the 1950's - 60's.

All the stock I have built myself from plastic card.
