Hollym Gate was a station on the Hull to Withernsea line, situated between Patrington and Withernsea. The line opened to traffic in January 1855 by the Hull and Holderness Railway. In 1862 the company had been taken over by the North Eastern Railway. By 1870 the station had closed to passenger traffic leaving only a goods siding.
I have supposed that the station had survived into the late 1950's early 1960's. This has given me some modellers license with the layout rather than being one of the actual stations which lasted into the 1960's
The track layout is single to double track and a single goods siding. The buildings are from various stations along the line and surrounding area all of which had to be scratch built.. Rolling stock is a mixture of steam and DMU's which are a mix of ready to run and kit built. The layout uses DCC from Bachmann.
